Step 1 - Clean the Surface
Once the vinyl is released from its original paper and is on the backing paper you are now ready to apply the vinyl to the surface. Make sure you know exactly where you will be applying the vinyl using a ruler or other device. Place the vinyl on the surface. Once in place use a squeegee to rub the vinyl onto the desired area. This should create a strong bond with the surface area on which you are applying the vinyl. Use short strokes and work from the center outward. Once complete, start in one corner and pull the backing paper from the surface leaving the vinyl. Remember to go slowly, especially with small or complex lettering or designs.

Step 2 - Prepare the lettering or graphic
Using a rubber squeegee, rub the backing paper onto the vinyl. Use a 45 degree angle and a fair amount of pressure. This will create a temporary bond between the vinyl and the backing paper so that the vinyl can be removed.

Step 3 - Removing vinyl from original
Slowly pull away the backing paper with the vinyl lettering at a 45 degree angle. If the vinyl does not come up with the backing paper, stop and re-squeegee that part of the vinyl until it comes up with the backing paper.
